Code of Conduct
FLYERS SWIMMING CODE OF CONDUCT
The Falcon Pointe Flyers swim team was formed with the objective of helping young swimmers develop physical fitness, self-discipline, self-confidence, proficiency in competitive swimming strokes, and good sportsmanship. Every participant including swimmers, coaches, officials, board members, parents, volunteers, and spectators have a responsibility to behave in a respectable manner and to comply with and support the code of conduct while participating in all Falcon Pointe Flyers swimming events.
Falcon Pointe Flyers Swimming has a zero tolerance policy regarding inappropriate and improper behavior for all families, swimmers, coaches, and guests. This policy is in effect at all swimming facilities and events in which the Flyers participate. This policy prohibits (not limited to):
- Refusing to abide by an official's decision.
- Verbal abuse or attack upon any other person on or off the pool deck.
- Use profanity or vulgar language on or off the pool deck.
- Physical violence, including striking, shoving, or threatening to lay a hand upon an official, swimmer, coach, or spectator.
- Harassment or incessant badgering of coaches, volunteers, officials, or other swimmers.
- Inappropriate conduct or rude behavior.
- Use or possession of alcohol, tobacco, vape, drug, or other illicit products and paraphernalia by all swimmers, parents, and coaches.
- Violation of any requirements associated with the Coronavirus Pandemic related to distancing, mask-wearing, etc.
- Engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct of any sort.
Any violation of the above policy will result in the following action at the discretion of the Home Meet Director, or Coaches:
- First Offense: A warning (at the discretion of the meet director)
- Second Offense: Ejection of the person(s) from the Meet/Event
- Third Offense: Suspension of the person(s) from any and all meets for the remainder of the season.
Violation of this policy may lead to disciplinary action, including potential removal from the team without refund. Please direct any questions regarding this policy to the Flyers Board.
As a parent or family member of a swimmer on the Flyers Swim Team, I will abide by the following guidelines:
- Practice teamwork with all parents, swimmers and coaches by supporting the values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility.
- Not coach or instruct the team or any swimmer at a practice or meet that interfere with coaches on the pool deck
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship by conducting myself in a manner respectful of others.
- Maintain self-control at all times.
- Direct all questions regarding swim meet results, times, placements, and disqualifications to our Meet Director.
- Direct all questions regarding decisions of coaches to the head coach via email.
- I will complete my volunteer responsibilities as my volunteer efforts are an integral part of the success of the team.

- Swimmers swim.
- Coaches coach.
- Parents parent.
